A touring motorcycle is a bike that is specifically designed for long-distance tours and heavy commuting. To address the specific needs of these types of riders, manufacturers have committed to designing touring motorcycles even though basically any bike can travel cross country.

The most luxurious and probably most popular bike of this kind is the BMW touring motorcycle. The BMW F650GS bike has bmw motorcycle parts that are of the best quality on the market. It typically has large displacement fairings and windshields to protect from high degrees of wind and unpredictable weather. They also come with large capacity fuel tanks that create a longer range between fill-ups. Touring bikes engines typically offer lots of low end horsepower, as well as a more relaxed, upright seating position than you would usually experience on a sports bike. Due to their increasingly popularity, touring motorcycles can be further subdivided into various sub-categories.

Mrs. Claus: 7 Sassy Ideas on How to De-clutter

Posted under Family & Parenting by admin on Tuesday 1 December 2009 at 10:55 pm

As a child I loved dolls. I had endless tea parties with them sitting with me around the kitchen table. I dressed and re-dressed them in the clothes my mother made for them. She was an expert seamstress and I had wonderful outfits for each doll. I never remember my mother staying up until 2:00 a.m. or later on Christmas Eve finishing my doll clothes or baking and whatever else people stay up to do on that magical night of the year. Now I know it was because she had learned how to declutter her schedule and take care of herself so she could take care of us.

As busy women we need to take care of ourselves so we can have a happy holiday season without added stress that can make us hate this time of year.

Feel the energy as you use these 7 powerful, feel-good ways on how to declutter for the holidays:

1. Take time now to look over your schedule for the upcoming months. Are there things you can plan on not doing to declutter your schedule and your life? Is everything you plan on doing mandatory (events that involve your children or mandatory work events)? Do you have items that can be done but changed to a different time of the year? For instance if you get together this time of the year with friends do it after the holidays but before New Years so it is still at the festive time of the year.

2. After you have your schedule planned if you have children call and arrange for babysitting early. If you have a hard time getting a sitter for whatever reason tell your potential sitter that you will be giving Christmas bonuses this year. You know their time is precious too and their schedule could be pretty hectic.

3. Do you burn the candle at both ends? Do you tell yourself you are a night owl so you stay up late and then still have to get up early? Spread out your responsibilities over several days rather than cramming tons of stuff into a few days. That is one of the secrets to de-cluttering"do things a step at a time without trying to run fast and furious all at once so you get burnt out.

4. How many hours of sleep do you need? Your body will tell you. It really gripes me that my body likes 6 hours a night because I read and hear all these health experts saying we need 8 hours and more. But my body thinks 6 are just right. Listen to your body and get enough rest so you will have the energy and enthusiasm to do what you need and want to do during the holidays.

5. My son-in-law went to get gas for his lawn mower and the man at the station told him it is not gas"it is fuel. Are we giving our bodies the right fuel it needs? You know what that is; enough water and nutritious foods every day. We dont have to worry about getting enough treat foods, in fact that is a place we could consider how to declutter by doing things like limiting our intake of sweets, baking less and actually enjoying what we eat more.

6. If you like to exercise dont give it up during the holidays. Exercise can give your body energy. But if youre not used to exercising, dont think that now is the time to start. You can pick up the habit when youre not so busy.

7. Plan some time for yourself every day. If you have children a great place to get away is the bathroom or your bedroom where you can lock the door and turn up the music so you cant hear them pounding on the door and saying, Mommy I need you every 5 seconds.

How to declutter your life at this busy time of the year includes taking time for yourself, eating right, exercising and being aware of your priorities.

The Old World Charm of Amish Rocking Chairs

Posted under Home Improvement by admin on Tuesday 1 December 2009 at 10:55 pm

A beautiful yet sturdily built Amish rocking chair is something that instantly evokes images of a bygone era of gentler times when we had more time to enjoy leisure, the outdoors, to just be! Whether it is the beauty of your porch that you want to enjoy or rock your little bundle of joy to sleep in the nursery or just curl up with a warm cup of something, Amish rocking chairs could offer you the perfect option to curl up for just that special me time or some quality family time for that matter.

Whether it is Amish outdoor furniture or indoor furniture that you are looking for, a rocking chair is among the most popular of choices. Amish rocking chairs are not only great to look at, being the quintessence of old fashioned charm, they are a treat to sit on; so comfortable are they! It is perhaps the designs and patterns that have been perfected literally over the ages that make for such a comfy place to settle a tired backside for relaxation.

Many Amish rocking chairs are specially designed to offer maximum back support and which consequently offer relief from pain or tense muscles in the back and lower back area offering almost therapeutic comfort. Specifically designed and contoured, the slats of the chair are able to adapt to the natural curve of the back to offer comfort and support. The wood is dried and then steamed to make it flexible enough to be fashioned into the desired shape and curvature. These are generously proportioned seats that will offer years of enjoyment and relaxation for a tired mind and body.

Amish rocking chairs come in many different shapes, sizes and varieties; they can be padded at the seat, back and armrests, or not; as one may require. These also come in the two seater variety so that you can curl up with just a book or with a book and a beloved!

Like Amish rocking chairs, Amish gliders are another popular seating option that harks back to a bygone era. Amish gliders come in the single seater or multiple seater variety and many also have a swivel option. A lot of people prefer the forward and backward gliding motion of these chairs to the rocking motion of a rocking chair.

These beautiful havens of comfort that the Amish create are often customizable and come with different options. For instance you could have the option of having or not having a footrest, or even a retractable or flip out foot rest. Alternatively you can get a separate but matching ottoman or footstool to put up tired feet. Headrest pillows are another option and you can use different upholstery options to make sure that you have the most unique looking chair!

Whichever option you decide to go with, Amish gliders and rocking chairs are something you cannot go wrong with, they are there to offer you quality comfort that comes only from well designed, sturdy furniture of heirloom superiority.
